This wedding was truly special for me to photograph because not only did I get to capture Jenna and Greg’s beautiful Summer country club wedding, but I also had the honor of photographing their proposal two years ago (we even got to recreated one of the cutest photos I took of them when they got engaged). Since that day we stayed in touch with one another from chatting about life to Jenna and Greg doing a Fall session with me to the everyday social media chats! Watching their journey from the moment Greg got down on one knee to them walking down the aisle has been a remarkable experience.
Jenna and Greg’s Porter’s Neck Country Club wedding was a celebration like no other! When Jenna and Greg told me their vision for their wedding they said they wanted it to be a PARTY! And let me tell you- IT WAS! They really wanted to focused on creating an unforgettable experience for their friends and family, prioritizing a fun, party-like atmosphere over the traditional formalities. I loved how they truly made their day fit them.
The morning started with all the pretty little details while Jenna and her closest friends were getting ready. Jenna and Greg opted out of having a traditional bridal party, but they still had their closet friends spend the morning with them. Greg and his friends, enjoyed a round of golf, in the morning and then headed to their house to get ready with his guys.
Later in the day, we got ready for Jenna and her dad, Brian, to do their first look. Brian mentioned how this moment was going to be tough for him since Jenna is the only daughter in their family and the last one to finally fly out of the nest. Seeing Jenna’s dad reaction to his beautiful daughter in her wedding gown was the sweetest moment.
Before the ceremony, Jenna and Greg shared a private first touch. As they held hands, back-to-back, taking a moment to connect and exchange a few words without seeing each other. It was a beautiful, relaxed moment that allowed them to express their excitement and chat about their morning adventures just before they walked down the aisle.
As the ceremony approached, guests gathered on the lawn in front of the country club. Jenna and her dad came through the front doors of the country club -Which was one of my favorite moments- like I said before, Jenna and Greg made this day fit their style and I loved how different it was from the traditional way.
After the “I do’s,” the celebration truly kicked off. Jenna and Greg had planned every detail to ensure their wedding was a day their friends and family would remember. Their reception took place at the back of the country club overlooking the golf course where it transformed into a more intimate setup with a cozy lounge area and a cocktail-style reception. Allowing guests to mingle and enjoy a variety of delicious bites from various food stations, instead of a traditional sit-down dinner.
As the night progressed, the party just got more and more fun! From the awesome music- DJ Mike did AMAZING!! To the glow sticks, light up glasses and glowing tambourines the energy only increased! You know the party’s a hit when the cops call and tell the place to turn it down.
Jenna and Greg shared a private dance to end the epic day. As their guests prepared for the glow exit, the couple had the dance floor to themselves, savoring a quiet, intimate moment from all the excitement of the day.
Jenna and Greg’s summer country club wedding was a hit. They didn’t just host a wedding; they threw a party that brought everyone together in celebration of their love for one another. It was a day filled with laughter, LOTS of dancing, and unforgettable moments—a day that their friends and family will cherish forever.
