Sweet Southern Charm: An Intimate Home Wedding in the South

In 2022, I had the pleasure of meeting Lindsey and Ryan and capturing their engagement pictures at Topsail Beach, North Carolina. Towards the end of their engagement session we chatted about the plans for their wedding. Lindsey told me they wanted to do something intimate just their close family and friends, possibly getting married at the court house in their local town. I thought their intimate wedding sounded perfect! In the following month, Lindsey reached back out to me asking if I was available to be the photographer for their wedding day. I told her I was totally free and down to capture their special day!

A month later Lindsey called me to tell there was a change in plans. Ryan’s grandfather told them they could us his house in Nash County, North Carolina to have a small ceremony and reception. They decided to go for it and it did not disappoint. Ryan’s grandfather’s house was full of Southern charm!

Let’s not waste time on mentioning Lindsey wedding outfit! She was gorgeous and her wedding outfit was unique! Her adorable short white dress to the sheer long sleeves, and adding the pearls into the mix made for a beautiful classic modern feel.

Lindsey and Ryan’s day was beautiful and they had their closest family and friends there. Lindsey and Ryan said their vows on the beautiful covered front porch. As their family and friends watched on the front lawn. As they read their vows, their family and friends had tears rolling down their face by the sweet moments they mentioned from them being together and of course Ryan and Lindsey had to mention some pretty funny moments as well. When Lindsey and Ryan were pronounced husband and wife everyone cheered, hugged and congratulated them.
